COVID-19  UPDATE

APRIL 21 2020 –

As most of you are aware, the Ontario Government has identified seasonal campgrounds a non-essential business and must remain closed until May 12 2020. Therefore, we are continuing to restrict access to Alpine RV Resort and our property will remain closed at this time until further notice.

 

The campground industry as a whole has been working together to gather information and reasons to prove to the Government of Ontario that we should be deemed Essential. We want to prove that we can be part of the solution instead of the problem. With our efforts we are hoping that even if the State of Emergency is not lifted, that we will be granted access under strict social distancing rules. This is something that we are strongly hoping for but it is not guaranteed. As soon as we have a decision from the Government and Health Canada we will be updating you all.

 

We understand that times are tough right now. We thank you all for doing your part to stop the spread.

While Alpine is closed for the season, we are closed to ALL VISITORS. Connie & Tim live at Alpine all winter and we do not want to have to worry about what they have touched, what our campers have touched etc in order to spread this virus. Please stay home.As of right now we will be open May 1. The only way this will change is if the government tells us we can not.

Being open while social distancing will look a bit different then normal. Following the health unit guidelines unfortunately we will not be allowed to open any buildings; rec hall, office, lounge, bathrooms, laundry etc. until further notice. The playground will also be off limits. All of this goes hand in hand with what the government has implemented within all of our cities. We also will not be able to open the pool at this point. The pool doesn’t generally open until Fathers day weekend so lets keep our fingers crossed by then we can make it work.

While social distancing we will not be able to allow guests/visitors onto Alpine property. This means only those who are on the contract will be allowed to be at your trailer, not even to help at set up. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you are feeling sick please do not come to the park.

If you have been out of the country, please do not come to the park until you have undergone the mandatory 14 day isolation period. You can not use Alpine RV Resort as your place for quarantine.

If you have been around someone who has tested positive please do not come to the park.

We all need to stay strong, work together, and look out for each other if we are going to flatten the curve.

The health of our customers and our staff are the most important and we all need to make sure we are doing what it takes to keep everyone safe and healthy.

We understand some of these restrictions will take some getting used to and hopefully this will all change come time for opening and we can go about our summer as usual.

FAQs

1.Is my April payment still due and will it go through like normal?

Yes, all payments are still due and those who have given post dated chqs will be cashed.

2. If the office isn’t open how will we pay/book/pay hydro etc?

I will be available via email/phone to help with all your campground needs as normal. We can take payments via credit card or EMT for the time being. No chqs/cash will be accepted until further notice.
